Meet Our Bees

Bees up Top

On the hotel’s rooftop, our bees have fantastic access to Victoria Park and the neighbouring suburbs, all within a 5 km radius, where they collect a wide variety of pollen and nectar, giving their honey a truly delicious taste. Cities like Auckland trap heat, meaning these bees can start foraging earlier than rural bees and continue into winter.

In collaboration with our friends from Bees Up Top our rooftop houses two hives of industrious Apis mellifera.  These busy bees go about their daily business making honey which is used by our kitchen team to create sweet treats for our guests to enjoy.
